Tulare County Stonewall Democrats is a chartered organization of the Tulare County Democratic Central Committee and affiliated with the CADem LGBT Caucus and the CDC (California Democratic Council).
The purpose of the Tulare County Stonewall Democrats is to work within the Tulare County Democratic Party, providing a strong voice and representation within the party structure; securing full equal rights of LGBT citizens through affecting legislation and policies; and encouraging LGBT community to participate fully as Democrats at all levels of policymaking and public service.
Who We Are
Tulare County Stonewall Democrats is a Chartered Club of the Democratic Party’s County Central Committee. The Club is devoted to advancing the equal rights of all people, regardless of sexual orientation, preference, or identity. Tulare County Stonewall Democrats support the Democratic Party and those Democratic Candidates who support our mission.
What We Do
Educate the LGBT Community and others about the significant differences between the two major parties on issues that concern the LGBT Community.
Lead the Democratic Party to improve it’s record on issues of importance to the LGBT Community.
Work for the nomination of Democratic candidates at all levels who will be fully supportive of the struggle against bigotry and intolerance.
Encourage the LGBT Community to support and vote for Democratic candidates who are committed to defeating homophobia and prejudice.
Work with other LGBT groups and individuals to promote these goals.
